Clients Designers Guild Honours: Dragon Tattoo, W.E., Harry Potter, Glee, Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abbey

La, CA Feb 21, 2012 The those who win from the 14th Annual Costume Designers Guild Honours were introduced tonight in the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The big event was located by actress, Jane Lynch. The Guild passed out competitive honours for costume design excellence in seven groups including films, television and advertisements: EXCELLENCE IN CONTEMPORARY FILM The Lady using the Dragon Tattoo Trish Summerville EXCELLENCE IN PERIOD FILM W.E. Arianne Phillips EXCELLENCE IN FANTASY FILM Harry Potter and also the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Jany Temime OUTSTANDING CONTEMPORARY TELEVISION SERIES Glee Lou Eyrich & Jennifer Eve OUTSTANDING PERIOD/FANTASY TELEVISION SERIES Boardwalk Empire John A. Dunn, Lisa Padovani OUTSTANDING Designed For TELEVISION MOVIE OR Small SERIES Downton Abbey Susannah Buxton EXCELLENCE IN COMMERCIAL COSTUME DESIGN Swiffer: Country Grime Cowgirl Roseanne Fiedler Additionally, four honorary honours were presented in the Honours Gala: This season, the Guild honored gifted screen and stage actress Kate Beckinsale using the LACOSTE SPOTLIGHT AWARD. Beckinsale was given the award by Columbus Short, her costar within the film Whiteout. Famous costume designer Marlene Stewart was honored with this particular years DISARONNO CAREER ACHIEVEMENT IN FILM AWARD. A montage highlighting her remarkable career was created by model and actress, Amber Valletta. Two-time Emmy Award nominated costume designer, Lou Eyrich was honored with this particular years CAREER ACHIEVEMENT IN TELEVISION AWARD. Ryan Murphy, co-creator and executive producer of Glee, presented her using the Award. The DISTINGUISHED COLLABORATOR AWARD was given to Emmy award-winning costume designer, Deborah Hopper, and four-time Oscar champion, Clint Eastwood, who've worked with on a lot more than 22 films during the last two decades.
