Mila Kunis: Actress, Television Star, Amateur Physician
A journalist's worst nightmare: completely losing your voice before meeting with a superstar. You cannot always reschedule -- the actor might be shooting a film or marketing an underlying cause or travelling in Tahiti -- but, whether it happens, all hope isn't lost. Just call Dr. Mila Kunis. Inside a story for GQ, author Michael Idov had the unfortunate timing of having sick 12 hrs before he was supposed to talk with Kunis. Because he states, "the only real seem my throat [was] able to delivering [was] a deeply creepy rasp ideal towards the phrase, enter my van." Fortunately, Mila came to save the day. After getting hot miso soup in a Japanese restaurant, the 2 get some Buckley's cough syrup in a local pharmacy and headed to Kunis's apartment. There, she cooked up a medicinal, vitamin-laced, booze-filled concoction to assist cure Idov's throat. Kunis begins causing us to be herbal tea when she will get a much better idea. 'Let's acquire some Cabernet wine going,' she states. 'It'll cause you to feel better and it'll cause you to drunk.' She hands us a Grgich Hillsides Cabernet wine Franc... In to the soup pot it is going, then an avalanche of eco-friendly-tea powder ('It's vitamins!'), two gelcaps of seafood oil...apple-cider vinegar...and Ayurvedic chai... The melted gelcaps have covered the saucepan's bottom, as the launched seafood oil blots the top. 'If I am consuming this,' I only say, 'you're consuming this.' Kunis nods. 'Yeah, I'll get wasted along with you about this wine. F-ck it. It's healthy for you!A All of a sudden she takes note of something and dashes towards the freezer. -I've vodka and that i have tequila. What is your opinion kills bacteria better?'... 'Aw, s-it,' is I manage in reaction as Kunis upends half a bottle of Ketel One in to the mix. 'There. Healthy! This can kill everything.' So did Kunis's recipe help cure the cough? Idov states he felt better (no kidding). If perhaps our interviews with celebrities went such as this. Apart from Idov's throat, the 2 discuss Kunis' acting career in addition to her approaching role in 'Oz: The Truly Amazing and Effective.' The whole piece is certainly worth a read.
