Season 2 was quite revelatory for Shirley on NBC's "Community." She'd an infant and restarted her relationship using the baby's father, her ex-husband Andre (Malcolm-Jamal Warner). But because the series moves toward the holiday season we'll see other sides from the character, beginning with Thursday's episode whenever we uncover that they and Shaun (Joel McHale) share a secret past."Exactly what the writer's emerged with is actually good, so I'd rather not mess it up for you personally, and I'd rather not mess it up for anyone,Inch Yvette Nicole Brown, who plays Shirley, informs "The Hollywood Reporter." "It is simply absurdly funny. It is funny. It is funny, and exactly how it's tied together is genius. It isn't something you would ever expect."It can't be the very first time the show has tossed two figures right into a situation that people did not see coming. But, it will likely be among the rare occasions Shaun and Shirley share narrative together."All of us split up into two's and three's from time to time, but this really is only my second time I started work with Joel," Brown highlights. "The very first time I labored with him is at the very first season, and that we did not fully realize one another that well yet, therefore it was like I had been dealing with know Joel simultaneously Shirley was dealing with know Shaun. However, I understand him. I understand him very well. I understand him absurdly well, therefore it was much more fun this time around around to get at have fun with him."Shirley can get more chances to experience around because the season progresses -- particularly around the approaching holiday episode. "Saturday Evening Live's" Taran Killam guest stars as Greendale's choir director and he's in a position to convince the research group to assist put on a journey show."Shirley's a Christmas full for the reason that episode," Brown discloses. "There's lots of shenanigans for the reason that episode, lots of music, lots of foolishness, and lots of mayhem. Lots of mayhem for the reason that episode. Mayhem is my word.""My personal favorite a part of that episode is I started work with somebody that is personally essential in my existence within this episode inside a scene," she teases."Thatwas the good thing for me personally. Oh, scrumptious, right? Who will it be?"Even though she was around the subject of people that are special to her, we needed to request about Warner's go back to the role of Shirley's love interest, Andre. The smoothness made the large vary from horrible deadbeat spouse to some guy who had been absolutely likely to hang in there to become there for his children. But, is the fact that going to change?"I believe there's a little of closurewell, closure's a poor word. That isn't the best word," she describes. "There's a little of development in Shirley's relationship with Andre. You're able to see much more of why these were together and where they are going came from here... Within this episode that's approaching, that people just shot, you will see how that relationship has advanced. It certainly is great when Malcolm's back."Obviously, we are going to need to wait a little for Warner's episode.
